Spencer Matthews has recorded a new marathon PB of 2:49, with Runner's World reporting his training was built around maths, science, and consistency. The result marks a solid result for the British television personality turned endurance athlete.

The time puts him among competitive amateur runners, and his approach to training has been noted for its structured, analytical style. Rather than relying on feel or instinct alone, Matthews followed a disciplined, numbers-based program.

Matthews is married to Vogue Williams, who has also attracted media attention this week after hitting back at online criticism. Those critics questioned her decisions in the early weeks of motherhood by going out with her one-month-old baby. Williams responded publicly to the comments.
