The BBC is closing BBC Three, BBC Scotland, and Radio 4 Extra as part of a £500m cost-cutting plan. BBC Three and BBC Scotland TV channels will shut down next year. The BBC also announced plans to cut 100 positions. The closures and job cuts are part of the BBC's efforts to save £500m.
