Anthony Mackie will bring his West End production of Macbeth to Broadway, returning to the stage after a long absence. He will play the title role, with the run scheduled to continue until July 2027.
The production began its run in the West End before the Broadway transfer was reported by Playbill and Deadline. The move marks a significant moment for a performer better known recently for his screen work.
After his Broadway run concludes, Mackie has confirmed he will film Avengers: Secret Wars, scheduling the blockbuster in after his stage work is complete.
